BlockMaster SafeStick Secure USB Drives Now FIPS 140-2 Validated

LONDON, UK, 15th Sept 2011 - BlockMaster, the leading provider of managed secure USB drives, today announced that their FIPS module has achieved FIPS 140-2 overall level 2 validation.

The SafeStick FIPS secure USB flash drive is now widely available and is the first product powered by BlockMaster’s FIPS validated BM-C1000 cryptographic module.

The SafeStick FIPS is a new edition of the proven series of SafeStick drives from BlockMaster.

The standard SafeStick has achieved UK government approval with the CESG CCTM and the SafeStick SuperSonic is the speed champion featuring the fastest flash on the market. All SafeStick drives share the same FIPS197 approved AES256 CBC encryption. The SafeStick FIPS in addition to this achieves the full FIPS 140-2 level 2 requirements.

SafeStick FIPS will be available in sizes ranging from 2GB to 64GB.
