BlockMaster Unveils Revolutionary New File Sharing Technology at RSA San Francisco
BlockMaster, a leading provider of managed secure USB flash drive solutions, is unveiling a patented new technology called PIPE that will forever change high-security file-sharing — and will result in a significant savings of time and money.
SAN FRANCISCO, CA. (USA), 27th Feb 2012
PIPE enables sharing and synchronization of data over a secure line with clients, partners and co-workers back and forth without risking data leaks or non-compliance.
“File sharing is more convenient than email and FTP but up until now it has been a great security threat. Traditional file sharing solutions should really be called file spreading solutions. There are no real access controls and only a false sense of security based on horrid implementations of encryption as breaches have shown. PIPE is an easy-to-use cost-efficient compliance solution that enforces the strictest requirements of encryption and authentication for data access, explains Anders Kjellander, CSO at BlockMaster and CISSP.
Two-Way File Sharing Between Trusted Devices and Users
PIPE secure file sharing is enabled from one verified user’s SafeConsoleReady hardware-encrypted secure USB to one or many other verified users managed devices, for optimal file sharing that is truly secure. The solution with the SafeConsoleReady Device and the PIPE software client offers Point2Point file sharing where each recipient and contributor is clearly identified and two-factor authenticated. PIPE is a zero-footprint portable solution and it enforces encryption of all data at rest and transit and enables two-way communication.
Quick Deployment with SafeConsole the Leading Central Device Management Server
BlockMaster’s central management server software SafeConsole makes setup and file-sharing for PIPE quick and secure and enforces a full audit trail of all actions and usage for compliance. The secure PIPE software client is deployed onto the managed SafeConsoleReady Devices over any network. Enrollment of access points and verified users to the PIPE is self-serviced and follows established security concepts such as separation of duties.
PIPE is Part of the Growing SafeConsoleReady Ecosystem
BlockMaster has through the creation of the SafeConsoleReady Technology Integration Program attracted the forces within the secure USB space. This includes: a full range of secure USB devices from Kingston, G&D SFS that offers EAL 5 compliant smartcard secure USB drives, CMS Products that is about to launch a 1TB SafeConsoleReady Opal SSC Compliant Device, and also integrated software solutions from CryptoCard, Sophos, RSA and Ceedo.
“We are truly excited about the opportunities PIPE presents across industries and for our partners. This is making the security required when sharing data plug-and-play easy.” said BlockMaster’s CEO, Daniel Östner.
Come by BlockMaster’s booth (#728) at the RSA Conference 2012 in San Francisco, Feb. 27 – March 2.
